These are pics of the HID on my Raider. Pure white. I will probably do the same on the Vmax although that Blue is great looking.. Mine was the 6000?? I think. Super white. That shadow is 100 yards long

Mike,
I agree. This give some super bright light. I went for the deep blue (I beleive it is actually 10K) for the difference in looks. Sure gets everybody's attention. Be safe! fxstein |

Oliver or Mike -
Did you modify or remove the metal shield on the HID bulb housing? Brad |

No - Left it as is. Works very well for me. Did you get the same kit or a different one?

I got the same kit as you, but it shoots the beam way high, even at the lowest adjustment. I have got to be missing something...
I even tried with both sets of bulbs. |

Sounds like the bulb is upside down.

Do you run with the shield on top or under the bulb? We tried both ways with only varying degrees of failure. I am thinking of cutting the shield off one of the bulb mounts and giving that a try...

You need the shield and it needs to be below the bulb. Make sure the H4 bulb is fully seated. If you cut it off it will become permanent Hi beam only.
