well okay then..... www.vmax-zone.com
the thread: vmax speed governor busted
found it last night.

Helen he is talking about splicing in Olivers device or a speedo healer. Not jumping wires together.
The hp increase you will see in 5th gear only......and it's not really a "increase" it just gives you what's available in all the other gears by removing the limiter.

Fxstein(Oliver) use to make the top speed fix but he has not made them for some time now. You do not need it anyway, just get your ECU reflashed by Tim at Guredgear and he removes the top speed limiter for you, plus you get the benefit of having more power smoother idle aswell as the ex-up valve servo can be removed without replacing it with a emulator!

 sorry can't do that... The speed Limiter on the new Vmax can be removed by splicing 2 wires on the ECU and gives full power in all the gears and extra 15 HP and a top speed of 175 mph on the speedo after doing the mod.
The splice should be made on the white/yellow (speed signal) wire between the ABS and ECU coupler.

Helen, You will be very pleased by re-flashing your ECU. Forget about the speed healer. There are many of us who have re-flashed our ECU's. Best bang for the buck.

I think Tim may have done something with this?

I don't know of a fix wherein two wires can be tied together and it would remove restrictions. It sounds like the Top Speed Fix Oliver developed and sold for a while. I have several used top speed fixes in my tool box I have removed you can have. Pay the postage and it's yours. But, if you are against having the ECU re-flashed, I would suggest a Speedo healer. Speed correction plus speed limit removal. Two birds with one wiring job.
