TOPIC: New brake and clutch levers ??

New brake and clutch levers ?? 4 years 3 months ago #1

Anybody look into changing the brake and clutch levers to CRG or Pazzo levers . ???

Brake is Brembo and the clutch is Nissin .

The custom levers from Pazzo, Syntho, Titax for the Yamaha MT01 fits perfect. The controls are exactly the same.

Sorry to jump in here, but I reall yliked the levers so I hunted around a bit...

They are made by ABM Synto, a company in Germany of course!

www.ab-m.de/en/products/synto

Their distributor in the us is:

www.spieglerusa.com/

Looks like they make some pretty cool stuff also! A few legacy Max goodies for sure... check out the Body Armor, brake lines, etc...

So I pined them and here is the story:

Original Message
Subject: 2009 VMax...

I was referred to you by ABM in Germany as a distributor. I am looking
for Synto brake and clutch levers. I am told the ones form the Yamaha
MT-01 will fit my '09 VMax. How would I hunt those down?

Your Brake line kits and Body Armor products also look interesting, I
see you have them for the "original" VMax. Any plans to support the
'09?

Thanks,
Dave

Thank you for your email. Yes we can order the Synto levers for you from ABM. It looks like the lever kit (which has both levers) is 289.00 plus shipping to your location. If ABM has them in stock over in Germany, once we order them it would be roughly 3 to 4 weeks to have them here in the U.S.

We do not have dimensions for the lines for the new 09 model yet. Once we have a bike come in for fitment we will post the part number on our website. If you want lines made for that bike before that, your options would be to send the originals for duplication or for you to supply the dimensions and fitting types.

We have not seen a kit for frame sliders for the 09 VMax yet.

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us.

Thanks.

Forgot to mention!

SPIEGLER PERFORMANCE PARTS does not say that the MT-01 levers fit!!!...

I derived that from the following statement from bigbikeelpro....

You can trust me 100%, the levers on the picture are from
the Yamaha MT01. I guarantee that these levers fit, i've
mounted them on the Max and have a MT01 also, so i was able
to compare.
The manufacturer like Spiegler can not know these, cause the
MT01 was never imported in the US.
Anyway, do what ever you want, i don't really care.
