HAS anyone removed the rear fender to fit the carbon fender yet or removed to get rid of the big registration plate holder. HOW DOES ONE REMOVE THE REAR FENDER?

You remove the 3 bolts on top of the fender. 2 are under the seat & 1 behind seat, center top. Once these are removed, you can then take a ball point pen and push the center of the plastic rivets (to release) underneath, that attach the outter fender to the lower inner fender. These will pull out once you've pushed in to release. I think there are 8 total and all must be removed. Hope this helps.

If I was you I would have all the carbon fiber clear coated. I have had quite a few Race bike with CF and a good clear coat will make them last alot longer..

Do you have a carbon fiber rear fender?, Any other Carbon?

I have well over $5000 dollars in Carbon fiber on My motorcycles and have worked with it for years. If its NOT sealed very very well you will start to see pin Holes in it from the sun and heat. Eventually it looks really bad. Throw in engine heat, tire heat, Varying tempurture changes and friction from the passing air and it will wear fast unless properly taken care of.
A Good clear coat will keep it looking great for years.
