Yeah, Hangar did his in flat black because of it.. I like the Victory shield I'm using the best of all. I tried the ones Yamaha has for the Vmax & didn't like them.

There are tons of pictures of it already posted here. This thread chronicles the various windshields I've tried as well as paint & other aesthetic improvements.
www.starvmax.com/index.php?option=com_ku...limitstart=230#47608 Here's a few shots right after I installed it. Of course I didn't use the chrome faceplate that said Victory on it.. I also have it in black for a different look. Below is a quote from months ago. The Touring is the bomb for comfort & protection, but some say a bit to big to look sporty. I tried the Boulevard but found it was like riding with a sheet of plywood against my chest & arms. I'm 6'2" and catch a lot of wind, so I tried a Victory Hammer shield (cost $49), and allows me to kinda tuck in at speeds, so that's what I use. Don't think that you're locked into what Yamaha has to offer |

Cool, I just wish there was some more on ebay. I have 2 of them, 1 black & 1 tint, for under $100
Bad_Max wrote: Yes, Victory Hammer lightly pre-tinted, No mods are necessary to the screen, I just leave off the face plate. You need 2 small 2" L brackets you can get from Home depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, etc. Once you have them, it's easy to see what to do. You just add another bend, kinda like a Z, but straighter, and then the shield bolts right up and clears everything like it was made for it. |
