Update: I've extended the front fender with a modified lower fender from Yamaha XT660X.
Its shape is nearly perfect to fit the Vmax. Price of this OEM product ist 25 Euro.
Part number# 1D2-F1556-00

Looks great, just what I was looking for. :woohoo:
Went online found a currency converter,25 euro = AUD 44 ,I thought what a bargain. :)
Tuesday morning went to a Yamaha Dealer gave the spare parts guy the part #,He looks it up and says AUD 136.00  4-6 weeks delivery. WTF, Don't want it that much!

bigbike, GREAT job. Looks factory. Also a good find on the part. Since this bike isn't available in the U.S., we can't get the part here, so does anyone know what, if anything, this part would cross to on a locally available bike??

We have both (XT660X and XT660R) here in Portugal.

Don't know the price of the part but it's easy to find.

If anyone interested I can get info about it.

Safe ride.

Seeing that we in the US can't get that factory piece, and out of absolute necessity......I've figured out how to build one for the new vmax. I'll be posting a photo hopefully in a day or two. After my Arkansas ride I noticed the aluminum trim on the ends of the radiators are just peppered from fine stuff on the roads so this piece will sure help keep things nicer.

They sell a fender extender at Revs Performance for 41 bucks , not sure if it would be long enough . Was thinking but not sure if the Suzuki V Strom had a front fender extender on it, will check a freinds bike next wk but it might be an option also. Kurt

Great job! You kept the flow of the fender and extended it. The extension is almost invisible. Thanks a lot!
