Well, the box came last week, just in time for installation to make our first local car show. I had to hustle a bit to get it all on and tweaked, but it was WELL worth the effort and the wait.
First, I removed the Ground Assault shock and re-installed the OEM. I just wanted to try the link vs. the air suspension. Next step was to install the CatsSass. The install was pretty straight forward and not difficult at all. The difference with the exhaust was really amazing! The sound has to be heard to be believed, but I really didn’t expect this much of a performance boost. This bike now sounds like it should. There’s lots of volume without the included baffles, but it isn’t objectionable at all and not in the least annoying when you’re cruising at highway speed. You just hear a deep growl that says this ride means business. When you crack it open you know there’s major horsepower on the move. Everyone that heard it commented on how good it sounds. I had lots of requests to start it at the car show and people would hear it and come over to see what it was. One guy told me it sounds like a pissed off big block. Now for the performance. This was definitely the biggest horsepower gain my butt dyno has ever experienced. Delivery is very similar to stock. It’s just power, power, and MORE power. No flat spots, no bog, no stutter, nothing but haul ass, and I didn’t even install the fuel tuner yet. It’s always been easy to leave a snake from a stop with this bike, but now it’s ridiculous. I like to just roll out a bit then give it a little twist then the same in 2nd and 3rd to leave some bike-length patches. No more 6,000 mile rear tires. Roll-ons in top gear at highway speed are just more of the same arm stretching acceleration, it’s just moved up a couple of notches. The lowering link puts the bike a couple inches lower and into the stance that says ‘nasty’. Handling and ride are excellent, just like with the Ground Assault. All you need to do is adjust the shock once you’re done and take off. One last thing. I’ll echo what’s been said here before about the quality and finish of UFO’s stuff. Impeccable. It really is almost too nice to use. It fits right and goes on without issue, all with a show-quality finish. You couldn’t ask for more. The wait was WELL worth it. |

I tried that, Didn't work, Still hits, Hate to loosen anything as it was a pain to install, also mounting strap didn't match old mount hole, had to use spacer. They do sound good though.
