Ever since Tim Nash explained in his blog with pictures about the MaxTuner, I have been messing with my settings. I have a better understanding of what I am doing, his pictures did an excellent job of explaining how the thing works. www.vmaxguru.com/Tech/Gen2/Pages/UFO_Max..._Cat_Sass_how_to.htm
I wanted to start a thread so we can share our settings and try to get a better understanding of how the green, yellow and red parts of the map overlap. It would be nice if we knew at what RPM the numbers correspond on the blue button scale of things. For now I have turned the green part of the fuel curve off, and expanded the yellow over it. If you care to partake in this thread please give us some basic information as I have listed below. Bike for me with these settings runs good. It seems to be missing alittle down low. I still have poping on decel. Elevation: 550 ft. above sea level AIS: Removed System:KickTheCat Mufflers: Stock G 1 Y 2 R 3 GB 1 YB 8 RB 5 You can find your elevation in your region by a simple google search. Cheers' |

The only way you will get rid of the popping on decel is with a good pair of mufflers.

My bike never back fires anymore. I get some rumbling with the open cans but NO back firing what so ever.

My bike doesn't pop or back fire with the Max Tuner or the PCV. Did you use high heat red silicone at the slip joint connections? WFO

My extensive experience with the Wildbros EFI was popping on decel resulted from very lean. I think a Wideband Commander should answer these questions. imho

Alright, I went to the dealership today, so I can exorcise my exhaust leak demons. He found nothing. The bike is clean. He told me to go home and play with my box.
After some experimenting.. I brought back the green part of the power curve and shortened up the middle.. WoW. I said I lost torque. I don't know what I was smoking, cause the thing hauls ass. I will play with it some more and post up my settings. I wish some of you guys would post up your settings so I can see where every one else is at. More to come... Cheers' |
