I installed the spring yesterday, It took me 30 minutes and YAAAAHHHOOOOOO there IT GOES. Amazing results, I never had burnout with 240 before.

from what I read not all benefits with double spring, I think with half the teeth can get a little more pressure without any adverse effects I think that ultimately will occur, sory for my english

I want to buy torque wrench lease recommend cheap and best, I think Ii have overtighten the bolts.
When I have tighten the bolts the spring buld was all flat, Is it suppose to be that way or you see the convex out after tightning the bolts? |

It's supposed to be flat. But you really should have a torque wrench. Harbor Freight has them cheap and they're pretty accurate. For those particular bolts you would need the 1/4" drive one in inch/lbs.

Hey Ohio Mike,
Thanks for starting the clutch mod thread. I just finished installing the spring and gasket. Just to make sure I got it right... I was supposed to place the new spring directly on top of the existing one on the bike and reinstall parts with correct torque right? Thanks, It seemed easy, just wanted to make sure. B Hunt |
