Hi guys. I fitted the Magical Racing screen today. It looks better in the flesh than in the photos. After a longish ride I can say that the screen does help take some wind blast off the chest but you still get it around the shoulders. Also there is more wind noise than without out but this is expected. It is definitely a quality piece of kit.
Some tips for those of you getting one. Fit everything together loosely and then tighten everything once in place. It is a bit difficult to tighten some of the screws but can be done with good ball end allen keys. Use a bit of loctite on the screws holding the screen. I used some 6mm plastic washers on the screen fixing screws to stop scratching the finish. I added an extra washer to the bracket spacers to stop the bracket touching the headlight surround. There is some room for adjustment of the screen angle. I found it best for me pulled back until the screen is just clear of the clutch master cylinder. When I get some time I will paint the brackets and spacers black even though they do not show very much. Here's a few pics of it fitted. |

Nice writeup. Thanks for posting!
Looks like it provides extra protection for gear like GPS or radar detector. |

Would you say that it is easy to put on or take off with ease?
How long did it take to mount? And how long do you think it would take you to take it off? This is one of those things that I would like to have, just for those longer trips, and then take it off just to ride around town. Thanks for the info. |

Great pics. You said it helps with the air. What about handling?

Thanks for the info. 4 screws will take the screen off in minutes but it will leave the brackets still in place. It is fairly quick to remove the brackets too but it is fitting them and getting everything aligned that take a bit longer. Probably about half an hour. |
