If you go to ebay and type in "vmax lowering link" you will see the link that I have.
There are other companies making these as well.

There used to be a post on this forum showing the install. I can't for the life of me find it at the moment.

Hate to hear that w your seat. Everyone else here(i don't have one) seems to be satisfied with their Corbin. You may try a forum 'search' for the appropriate thread(s). Good luck..

Just got an email from Corbin, they are wanting me to return the seat so they can work on it. I have asked them to make it 5/16" longer to match the OEM seat, take the rear of the seat dwon to the height of the front part. Let you know what happens from here.

Hey that's great news. I love to see manufacturer stand by it's product and try to make things right. It's happened to me twice with my new Max, first time with Yamaha on some accessories I bought, and recently with Continental on a tire that had a blowout. Good customer service seemed to be a lost art, let's hope it's making a come back.

planetvmax.com/2009vmax/suspension/ufo-lowering-link/

ebay has same ones for cheaper though..

also for those that got corbin seat and installed link, wasn't the 2" link enough? It getting expensive to be short. I sat on a gen1 vmax with 30.1 inseam and i was fine moving it back and forth (thats all i really care about). But the gen2 is 30.5 and a wider saddle...i'm 5'4".

The link is definately cheaper..and install might be another $150.

Jackal, Did the Ygear lowing kit, works great, wasn't cheap. At 5'7" with a 29' inseam i am now flat footed with the knee bent, feels great.
