I thought I would share my experiences yesterday on my first ride out of my garage on the NEW 2010...
As reported by Marks9222 in another thread, my "hand-on" experience on the 2009 that I sold him, made it virtually trouble-free when setting up my 2010 and the bike ran at 99.9%, "out-of-the-box"...the bike pulled hard and ran real smooth to my surprise...the only problem was the disengaging problem with the Pazzo Clutch Lever mentioned in another thread... Here's what I put on... OEM Air Box with Restrictor Removed (Yamaha) Air Filter (Evoluzione) Race ECU (Yamaha) EXUP Eliminator (Evoluzione) PCV (DynoJet) AT-200 (DynoJet) Map Selector Toggle Switch (DynoJet) Map for PCV (last one trimmed on 2009) AIS Eliminated (but used hose adapter instead) (UFO) Mufflers (Akrapovic) X-Pipe (Mike's) Brake and Clutch Levers (Pazzo) Front Fender Extender (DC) CF Front Fender (Yamaha) CF Faux Tank Cover (Yamaha) CF Instrument Cover (Yamaha) CF Side Covers (Yamaha) CF Rear Fender (Yamaha) Boulevard Windscreen (Yamaha) Y's Gear Mirrors (Yamaha) w/ Extenders Tidy Tail (Exactrep) Stiletto Cowl (Yamaha) Front Signal Relocators (Evoluzione) What's the point???...that it IS possible to transfer "lessons learned" from one GEN-2 to another, even if they are different model years... Just thought I would share... Art PS...will take her to Mike's for a Dyno but think I will pull that 187HP that Marks9222 had mentioned that he got with Oliver, right from the start before any tuning at all... |

Art,
Congradulations on finally riding your new motorcycle ! It only took you a month and a half to try it out ? As far as pulling that 187, I think you'll do better--just use STD numbers. The only problem is it will probly be sometime in 2013 before you get it broke in and dynoed. We're all on the edge of our seats ! Sparky |
