Q, are you going to install the pipe yourself?
A buddy of mine who has one has had problems with his rubbing his swingarm, and you have to make sure you have adequate heat shielding near the rear brake lines. Just a heads up. |

@ what point did it come into contact with the Swingarm? I'll give him a call tonight to try and get more detail, he does not have internet service. With that pipe I wouldn't expect a power increase over your current setup......but it sounds NASTY!! Also....I have a map if you need it for the UFO and Monster Air, let me know. |

Would need a map..THX!! What kind of HP loss will i get over the X-Pipe?
And i'm going for Nasty And i was hoping the wrap would take care of all the heat issues that may come up with this setup..I hope! Do you think the UFO is Doing 190hp to the wheel? |

Mine never rubbed the swing arm but it was lowered, dunno if that makes a difference.
I also didn't have any problem with the rear lines getting hot, but I took the cushy rubber stuff off and later went with braided. Yes, it DID sound nasty. Hope you don't live in a development. |

I had the ufo 4-1 on mine for a while and it does rub, but nothing that can't be fixed with some adjustment to the pipe. I will take a pic and post later. Another thing to look out for is when installing make sure to use good quality exhaust cemant on the joins, prticularly the ones from the rear headers if not it will leaks and the ticking sound is not only bad for the engine it will drive you crazy. I did install the system myself and I can tell you it is not that easy, but as long as you take your time and don't rush it aswell as keep track of all the parts and double check all the bolts after you put it back together you should be fine!

Q Tip Don't know about the fit of the 4 into 1 but have had some lessons on the heat wrap it's hard to work with even on a V twin I had raced out with single pipes the problem you will have is the collector if you choose to wrap that far back it increases the pipe size almost a 1/4 inch in diameter total after the wrap at least the stuff I used was pretty thick so you might be rubbing but not metal to metal but metal to wrap the new stuff might be thinner , As fr as red goes it would look like a candy cane that red is really red.
I did all this back in the Harley days 10-12 years back so things might have changed but it's a pain. Capt |

Thanks guys! Don't know if I want to go with red, but I think I'll go with black..Or just hit with some high heat black paint for now. Hope the fit is good and I will take my time that's for sure..
Luv my X-pipe |
