TOPIC: rpm launch controller 09

rpm launch controller 09 1 year, 5 months ago #1

Question for the V max nation. Has any one tried the msd 4350 launch controller on their 09 or 10? I am looking for a consistant rpm at launch without having to watch the tach and tree at the same time. Any help would be appreciated.

On my 09 I set the 1st gear shift light to come on at my launch rpm and go off 500 rpm higher. It's bright and a lot easier to see than the tach needle.

What launch rpm do you go with?

Right now and for my last trip to the track it is set at 3500-4000 rpm. Next time at the track I'm going to bump it up 500 rpm. Unfortunately the Max will bog somewhat no matter what rpm you launch at. I think It's more what you feel comfortable with - the key being getting the clutch out and going to WOT as quickly as possible.
