Maybe why my bike feels so much lighter and feels better is because I am running a 180 shinko.

Previous owner had installed the 2" lowering link, I was scraping parts all the time! I took the link out and put the original back in, now no more scraping parts and the bike handles better. I wouldn't lower the bike unless you really have to.

I'm one of those that has to... My main concern is knocking a hole in the oil pan, which has happened to one of our members.
I think that a good idea would be to make a belly pan/bash plate. Maybe out of aluminum. I'm not very good at that type of thing, but we do have some very skillful members...
If someone built one I would be very interested and probably a few others.

Something like this, but in aluminum so that it doesn't weigh too much.
This one is from optimal carbon, France.

Mine bike is stock height at the rear with the forks dropped about 5/8" and I scrape my Sato rearsets regularly and they are an inch higher than the standard pegs.

Mine is 1.5 inches I dont scrape much of anything but did notice the other day my aluminum Kickstand is ground down a little that has happened since I got the BST's I lowered my front 1/2 inch I am 6 ft 2 so not for inseam but lowered bikes do better drag racing very happy with my set up and would not change a thing it's impossible to scrape the OTEC rearsets without wiping out anyway. My Bike sits about the same as Bretts or so it seems even before the wheels I always thought mine handled great for a big porker.

Who makes a 1.5 drop link? I have only seen 1 and 2's. This may be a better option for me.

Not interested in lowering the bike. I have long legs and it's comfortable the way it is.

I understand if you need to for "SLS" short leg syndrome.....
