We got off on this subject again on another thread so maybe we need a list of 1/4 mile times.
After Imfastoo posted his 9.97, BooCoo said he was too depressed to post up his measly 10.008. Damn, that's as close to the 9's as you can get without being there. Not to take away from Imfastoo but he just barely squeeked into the 9's. I'm sure he'll get better times when he gets more accustomed to the bike. If you've never run on the drag strip, you should give it a try. Totally different and safer than street racing. Instead of a dry, dirty street at the red light you have a prepared surface that is sticky and if you heat the tire you won't have nearly as much trouble with traction. I'm not a professional racer but I've been a few times and this is the easiest, most controllable bike I've ever ridden. Winning is always fun but just doing it is a rush and you don't have to look for the fuzz. The Gen1 was hard to get into the high 11's with most average riders so anything in the 10's on the 09 is a good ride. Here is a list of the 1/4 mile times I have read about on the forum. Looks like I am the slowest here but I hope to get better next time. Even if you are in the low 11's please post your time to the list just to show you're having fun. CAUTION: Drag racing can be addictive. Report immediately to your doctor if you experience dizziness, blurred vision, difficulty urinating, or a sudden increase in sexual activity. Do not ride on city streets for at least 3 hours after drag racing. Imfastoo 9.97 BooCoo 10.008 Fxstien 10.38 Reddirt 10.52 |

Would it be possible to have all the data from the time slip posted so that it shows includes the short times and MPH. Also - you might want to have a 9 second club a 10 second club, etc - and maybe a 140 club for those who trap there.
THanks, Kevin |

This thread should be a sticky(So it stays at the top of the new threads.)
Need to show the actual time slips too. |

Sticky post? Time slips? Videos? Hey, all I wanted was a simple thread on the honor system. If you can't trust your fellow Vmaxers who can you trust? Truth is, I don't know how to post a sticky thread and I don't have time for all the details. Maybe someone with more time and skills can re-structure this thread or post another one that would accomplish all the things everyone wants. Bad_Max might have the time for this. Bob? |

Only a moderator can "stick" a thread. That means it will be stuck at the top of its category so it's easier to find when people browse thru the categories. it does make sense to "sticky" your post Dan, but that's not up to me & I can't do it anyways.

Last year I was able to hook hard with track temps like that. 64" w/b and Michelin Power Race Soft tire... Think of what it would have ran if it had hooked up...I'm surprised it didn't pull more mph with the cool temps... Shane |
