Memorial ride gone wrong in Dallas. Squids! 2 years 1 week ago #1

Can someone remind me why drivers hate bikers? :rollingno:

I'm all for memorial rides commemorating friends/loved ones that have passed, but check out how the squids are representing in Dallas. Somehow I missed the same thing happening last year and the videos are still on YouTube, but folks are pulling down the videos they recorded this year for fear of being prosecuted as promised by the Dallas Police Department.

I saw the preview of this report and had to record the news. These are major interstates in and around Dallas. I find myself sounding like my parents here because of the impression it gives non-motorcyclists.

Last year:

Even if you don't watch all of the following videos, at least ff to catch the video safety tips in the first video at the 2:47 and 4:23 marks. :nononono:

And last but not least, a short video of them stopping the entire highway for an impromptu stunt show/graffiti session.

WHERE'S TED?? Ride Commandment: Thou shalt not pass the ride leader (unless you know where you're going). Friends don't let friends leave the ride, without a map or GPS. ;-)

Cops should have arrested the whole bunch for causing a danger to the public. Yes they were driving for a fallen rider, but stopping traffic like that is irresponsible and dangerous.

Absolutely a bunch of dumb-asses who don't have brains.

CHILDREN adrift from adult supervision.......ironically, they don't appear to have ever served..at least for any length of time....if at all, not in my service.

I feel for that kid that was slammed by the coward who left the scene...

can't get too much lower than not standing up for your actions....wow

Well, Not much we can do !

Just hope the cops crack down harder on Squids !

And we should stand up and say something when a Squid Pulls a Stunt in public !

We need to set the example !

They're certainly doing us all a huge disservice by doing this. People that were on the fence before may have just been pushed off. :nonono:

Here are a couple of comments from readers on our newspaper's website:

It's very hard to respect bikers when they continue to behave recklessly. They want drivers to "share the road", then they drive and act in a completely reckless manner.

Truck drivers try to drive responsibly and to be courteous, by and large, to other motorists. I have a much higher degree of respect for truck drivers than I do for bikers.

If you want motorists to respect bikers, then bikers must gain that respect through their collective actions.

Rather ironic that the "bikers" of yesterday rode Harleys while the motorcyclists rode japanese sport bikes.. Roll the clendar forward 30 years and now the Harleys riders are the good guys and the sport bikers are the punks. What a shame.
