Here he was not even a year ago with Pat Travers. The man could rock. |

Wow.. Sad..
I remember Montrose & Sammy Hagar from the 70's and I even lived down the street from Pat Travers in 1980. He lived in Rosemont along with Dave Hlubek of Molly Hatchet. We used to drive thru Rosemont (posh subdivision in Orlando) and occasionaly we could catch Molley Hatchet or Travers practicing in their garages.. I remember seeing Ronnie with Edgar Winter in a concert at Orlando Sports Stadium in the 1970's. My "Bad Motor Scooter" at that time was an H1 Kawasaki.. At least Ronny made it to 64.. That's pretty old for a rocker that lived hard.. Excellent Guitarist tho.. RIP Montrose.. Gone but not forgotten.. |

Damm Att!!!!! My classic rockers are leavin me for that Golden Les Paul factory(w hot chicks and cold beer) in the sky. Ronnie was/iz an amazing, influential guitarist/showman. Guess i'm gonna have to slam the whammy bar back in my Strat and get down on some Bad Motorscooter today.
RIP Ronnie---You Rock!!! (i hope Toni Iommi makes it through this lymphoma long enough to finish the new Black Sabbath album and Tour) |

First Dio and now Montrose! Too young and talented to be gone so soon.

Very, very sad. Selfish too, but I understand how bad things could get for some people that may not have the inner strength to help themselves. Too bad.
