Well...
Sorry guys. It's not like I'm gonna completely vanish from the forum but I had a gut feeling once I put my Vmax on Ebay, that there is where it would sell. I listed it late Thursday & Friday morning my wife wakes me with a phone call, that I got an email saying it was sold for the buy it now price. Contacted the dude & he seemed on point. Turns out I had plans to see my mother over the weekend on the east coast of Florida. He tells me what town he's in & it was like hitting lotto. Guy lives in the same town as my Mom. Killed 2 birds with one stone & rode the bike, delivered to his door, then visited my mother few minutes away across town. Got what I wanted for the bike. He is really happy with my baby. Called & texted me thanking me & telling me he was in love with it. Not only did the bike sell right away & same town, yada, yada....but I found my Super Tenere, Friday morning on a dealer floor about 70 miles from my house. Bought it & rode it home today. I've got a feeling The Super 10 will rack up more miles then the Vmax did quick. You guys know I have a passion for the Max. After 3 Gen 1's & the 09' it's safe to say that. But...I have my reasons & wanted the S-10. Sold my Max for 14,500 & bought the Tenere for the same price brand new bike sitting in my garage, all with-in 2 days. I can go on & on...will talk back at ya guys later. Here's some pics of my new ride on the way home today... 6spd is smooth, bike pulls nice. Even got it muddy already.. |

Congrats I guess, MSRP is $13,900
The driving force behind a twin-cylinder engine, whose uneven firing intervals is generated by the 270 degree crank, enables tires to grip the road in various circumstances, especially off-road. This strongly supports riders during adventure trips. Not only in off-road situations, but in situations of rain, leaves or scattered sands weaken grip performance, the vehicle maintains control of driving forces (YCC-T with traction control). Advanced stopping technology enables riders to control balanced braking between front and rear, comfortably supports long distance journey (Unified brake system). To prevent wheels from locking up while braking assists the rider to control vehicles on various slippery road surfaces in different situations (ABS). For long distance touring the protection from the pressure of headwinds on motorways and dust in the wilderness eases exhaution for riders (Air Protection). By effective choices of different engine characteristics, riders can enjoy journeys, filled with excitement and comforts over endless mountain passes and motorways |

Congrats I guess, MSRP is $13,900 Don't sound too happy!! I'll still be spinning the rear tire but more so off road where revenue citations are more unlikely. MSRP got bumped up just like the Vmax did. They say MSRP is 14,500 now. Yamaha ended the $500 program, marked up the bike & some dealers get them for the sales floor if wanted. I could have paid more or less from my research. I actually paid 14,700 OTD. Not much out of pocket after getting rid of the max. |
