finally the hotel wifi is working... road conditions are awesome! best ive ever seen it. AFAIK there have been 2 deaths in 2 weeks. woman passing a car and got hit head on, and a bike low sided under a semi trailer.

we ate lunch there today after the skyway and a guy dropped his harley pulling onto the road. in his defense it is steep at the first exit. youre best off pulling down and out past the pumps.

Thanks for the pics. That i s a great place to stay. Basic rooms for a reasonable price. 3 of us stayed there last year. Our room had a set of bunk beds and a 3rd bed. And a nice fire pit for everyone to sit around and tell their stories.

Stayed at the Two wheel inn last year. Nice place, cable free wifi, onsite owners who are as nice as can be, garage for 2 bikes with each room. price was about $75/night only bad part was its in a dry county so you have to ride maybe 10 miles to the grocery store in the next county to grab beer. If you dont have bags, makes it a bit difficult. Still close to the dragon but on the other end of it from the Fontana villa.

dont get excited and over-ride the road. some of the turns are a bit hidden and come up fast and are a LOT tighter than they look at first. Give yourself time to set up and react to possible retards coming the other way. If you come up on a harley or bagger, they will be going slow. sometimes best to hang back and put some distance between you and then go at it again rather than take a chance on passing. Thats how people die. Better to be disappointed you couldnt go as fast as you wanted to and try again vs causing an accident or being one. you have all day, and usually more than one. be safe.
