Went with a buddy to indoor karting last night

Let me tell ya! much harder to be fast than I ever imagined!! the standard Kart is 6HP and the key to speed is not letting off the gas these things will stick and hold the G's more than I ever thought they could and go much faster than you would think also.
We signed up to start a adult league recing on Wednesday nights they can run up to 20 karts in the league there were a total of 13 and it realy sucked the be second to last slow guy my friend AJ was the other one a bit slower, Qualified 12th out of 13 AJ was last we were in the 47 sec bracket wtf the leaders were running 42's It only took the fast guys 12 laps out of 20 to start catching us at the back of the pack. Each time I got passed I tried my hardest to have a new teacher and try to keep up was a loss at first and was slowly learning the tracks lines and to stay on the gas she will hold in the corners. AJ and I finished a respectable 12th and 13th 6 seconds off the pace, track owner did give us alot of credit for driving properly not punting everyone off the course and noticing the blue passing flag and move over

We didnt end for the night AJ had a friend come down that ran 3 more heat races with us 8min timed run track was now going normal rotation we did reverse the first time now normal had to relearn the oposite direction ARRR!! First heat had alot of idiots surprised they did not black flag some guys driving rough and nasty by the end of our 3rd heat normal rotation I had broken into low 43's and was actualy passing other guys needless to say my weight I need to hit 41.25 5 times to move up to big boy karts with 9hp, they only have 4 not many people can do it lol.

Final note I woke up this morning and remembered im 42yrs old things and muscles hurt that havent been used in awhile cant wait to go back Tyler

That iz a blast. My only complaint here in Tulsa iz that they have these karts SOOOO choked down--for liability, I guess-- that i'm bored in 10 laps, and there's not enough power to pass!!!!

That's cool Tyler, there was a Kart Trak in Windsor for about 5-7 years and then packed up and moved out about 5 years ago. We went a few times...sure was a blast!
Too bad it really didn't catch on.

Sounds like fun Ty! There is a place not far from me called Funplex that also has karts but I don't know if they have the adult only sessions that you speak of. I'll have to check it out cause I always wanted to try them out

The indor surface is concrete and the little slicks do realy grip good passing is a finess thing wait for a guy to go wide and stuff er in there and hope to pull out ahead.

I will bring the contour next time see how a video comes out!

We have a place up here like that. Can't wait to try it.
what color was your cart? Maybe that's whu you were so slow. Just saying.

Mike kart was blue still faster than the red but yes the black are the bad boys with all of 9hp lol
