TOPIC: getting a ticket in horizontal position

getting a ticket in horizontal position 3 years, 9 months ago #1

On april 29th the media in Holland published this story: a motorist was photographed by speedchecking equipment (for want of a better term/word) doing 137 kms/h on the motorway in horizontal position.
As he was going 17 kms/h too fast (120 is the limit on that road) he'll get a speeding ticket.
He caused the accident because he saw the gatsometer and braked like hell to slow down to within the speedlimits of 120 kms/h. While braking his bike slipped out from under him. If you're caught speeding + 50 kms/h in Holland you loose your drivers license. So he must have been doing at least 180 kms/h for him to brake like crazy...

This is the photograph from the speedchecking equipment:

He was taken to hospital, he had a broken wrist and a damaged hand.

The comments of the public of this incident ranged from:
1. they should lock up all these kamikaze pilots
to
2. all these speedtraps are not for our safety but for cashing in for the state. Speedtraps should be banned.

Last Year we had a Guy photographed by the Traffic one armed Bandit.

He was pulling a Wheelie at 260 km/h going through the Sensors.

Our Machines only photograph from the Front with a 30 Degree Angle. They didn't catch the License Plate. They cought him anyway. His dumb move was, they identified his brand new R1 by the Style of the Fairing, Color and an unique Sticker on the lower End of the Fairing. They checked the Register and payed every Owner a visit to have a Look at the Bike. Whalla ....

Well, he payed 1200 Euros and walked for 6 Months.
