TOPIC: BMW'S New Road Warrior 1600 Torque Monster

Re: BMW'S New Road Warrior 1600 Torque Monster 2 years 5 months ago #11

No doudt it is a slick looking machine but like others the riding postion is something else to be desired. I would like to hear what it sounds like with an aftermarket system, now I'll bet that sounds like sinful music :dj: !

BMW brings back the inline 6 with this Bavarian CONCEPT. Some info on it HERE

Vmax has it in displacement, hp and torque, but the inline 6 is pretty sweet :)

No info on if they plan to produce this concept naked...

Nice headlight setup tho  Yamaha could take a cue from BMW on this one..

Hp & Tq numbers look pretty nice, has anyone heard what the weight is? Looks pretty light to me...with that Tq # & depending on the weight, this thing could give the Vmax a run for it's money!

I can't even find whether they intend to produce the naked. Currently only the touring model is available at 319 kg.

Well that's 703lbs...strip all the excess fairings, touring bags & other useless doo-dads, should be about the same weight as the Vmax. Should be interesting if they produce it!!

I like it, but you know this BMW is going to be well over $20K+ and I'm sure the lbs will be in the high 500 to low 600 lbs. Range on the lighter bike.. I give the exhaust tips a

Wonder what the numbers would be like if the motor was brought to the same state of tune as the zed 14 or busa?

The k 1300 R is already pushing 160 hp and will run a low 10 1/4 with gobs of torque from 2500 on BMW will wring out most of the ponies limited to suck blow just like our bikes good pipes cat gone and some sort of airbox and look out all those posted figures are for the touring model and lux touring model no one knows if the sporty one will make it to the US but my guess is it will BMW is making waves with the RR and the K 1300 R AND S sell well , I would imagine the sport one will change the torque curve to compensate for the lighter weight as they did with my K 1200 I was 25 more hp than the touring version with the same engine just different tuning more grunt for the low end on the heavy , The lighter of the 2 6 cylinders the one with just saddle bags they say will weigh
about the same as the current 1300 GT under 700 lbs.
