These headers are MIG welded , back purging with argon is only used when TIG welding and hardly anyone thats a good TIG welder hardly ever use's back purging anymore , all the cool guys are using Solar flux B and filler rods from Kobelco and Esab that form a flux on the backside of the weld eliminating the need for back purging.
TB dlcrays wrote: Yikes, I can't believe they let that out like that. With stainless its a must to back purge the tubing while welding due to how stainless acts. Doesn't look like they did that's alot of burn threw. To clean that up you'll need a round carbide cutter on a 6 in shank with a die grinder. Bumbs etc all matters in keeping the exhaust flow smooth, leave too many things and it adds up. Be sure to let them know about it in a nice way so they can stay on quality control. |

So Brock's designed it and Hindle builds it to Brock's spec's? Just curious.
Tim did say that that system makes the most HP out of any he has tested to date so someone must have did there homework. |

Maxout, excuse me for asking, but why wrap the pipes in this 'cloth'? (silly question?)

Friede, To keep the heat in the pipes and help the exhaust volume flow out the rear (more volume out more can flow into V4)

BTW, pipe looks great, I may have missed it, how are you transitioning from the Brock's 2" outlet to the Kerker 2.5 can?
