Finished up wraping the Brocks system except for the last merge. I will run it like that. If it gets to hot than I may wrap it all the way up to the can.



I painted the wrap with Black stove paint which is simmilar to the seal they sell for the tape.






Then there is the start up and curing of the wrap and paint which makes for a smokey garage.



The only thing I had to do to increase the size of the outlet from 2.25" O.D. To 2.5 O.D." was slip a sleeve of 2.25" I.D. exhaust pipe over the end of the Brocks elbow. I think there will be enough clearance for the Kerker to clear thye swing arm with out further modifications

Looks good! I have wrapped a few exhausts in my time, and that is a clean job. I like it.

The location of the oxygen sensor bung on the Brocks could have been located on top of the pipe instead of under the swing arm which requires rerouting of the Oxy Sensor pig tail to make the connection.

The AIS modification according to Brocks is much easier to perform than what I and others have been doing. It consists of pluging the nipple from the air cleaner box with a supplied plug then re-attaching the existing hose over the plug. No unplugged connections etc. (Picture to come)

The Brocks system is very easy to install due to the pr-eattached head flanges. Future removal to maintain the paint or wrap on the system is much easier and does not requir braeking the exhaust seal at the front head pipes. Its just a matter of releasing the springs.

Overall I am very satisfied with the fit and looks of the system.

I have snow and ice on the roads, and have not recieved the reflash for the system yet, so cannot comment on performance gains yet.

This is how Brocks does the AIS mod.

1. Pull hose off air cleaner box. (no clamp)



2. Place supplied plug over nipple on box.



3. Replase hose over plugged nipple. (tight fit may want to lube)

That's how most of us did our AIS mod Maxout.
Not sure if you are planning on retaining all that useless plumbing now that you have it plugged?
Most of us removed it as its just dead weight now.

Removed it all on the old bike. I think I will leave it in place on this one. Most of my weight savings are from the from the exhaust. I'm running a corbin seat and I think that thing adds a few pounds. Think I'll just go on a diet or start exercising more as my N.Y. resolution. I know I could stand to lose more weight than I could ever shave off the Max.

It is just more crap to use up space. Also I am looking at removing all wiring, looms and connections from the intake manifolds and repositioning them so the air intakes are completely unobstructed.
