For the price...especially for a set, I'm definitely going to have to give them a try!!

Just add my little bit of experience. World Supers last weekend at Phillip Island;
so we did 3000km+ in temperatures ranging from hot and dry and 40 deg C to wet and windy through the hills at 15 deg C. My first decent ride on the 240 wide rear with a Metzler 880 at rear (240/40) and a Metzler Roadtec Z6 on the front. When I first fitted the fatty I had a bridgestone OEM on the front and the bike did not want to turn - now bring it on. Shinko availability here in South Australia is a bit lacking. Speedo error now near enough to -10% when rear wears out will try a 240/45 should get close to accurate reading Tyres in dry 5 stars both front and rear. Tyres in wet 4 stars both but fun in wet with wheel still spinning up in 3rd if you want to feed the ponies. Cheers |

Most people do not aggree in plugging motorcycle tires but that is close enough to the center thaqt it really shouldn't casue you any trouble plugged. Breaking the tire down and patching it from the inside works well aswell! vmaxmercer |

Plugging or patching a tire is not a good idea. I don't think there's a motorcycle tire manufacturer out that recommends it. There was one tire manufacturer (don't remember which) that did say their tires could be patched, but only from the inside which a patch/plug. Once repaired...did not recommend any speeds over 70mph. I had a Dunlop take a nail with about 200 miles on it...it sucked, but I replaced it. Persoanally, I wouldn't risk it. Just my $.02

funny how things happen. My 003 which is real soft picked up a nail in the same place. I did plug it the same way and go 140 mph everyday with it and have had NO problems. It's NOT a good idea, but the plug works. Only wish you the best and ride safe!
