New Exhaust Soon to Reach the US Market -- Release 7 months, 3 weeks ago #1

The bike will be on display in the V&H boot during the annual Dealer's only Motorsport show in Indianapolis on the weekend of February 13-14th.

This event signals the official release of V&H exhaust production system for the VMX1700. The unit was designed and perfected by V&H Racing R&D team.

Expect to see a formidable system with superb finishing.

I'm really waiting for the Release of this underpriced, american Made but very well developed and laid out System.

Now, don't get me wrong, i have absolutely nothing against american made Products of any Kind and Price, but since we Europeans have been hit all over with this "american" and pricey BS by VP09, I'm really looking forward to see the MSRP of this really nice Exhaust. And if there's an EC Mark on it, i really consider buying it.

It is nice to hear that V&H are going ahead with the production of this system, I loved the prototype that we have seen on your MAX!

Here we go again..... anyway..

Squeeze,

Where do you read BS? EC products are overpriced for multiple reasons. Exchange rate, ridiculous labour cost (to pay for ridiculous benefits), over-inflated sense of excellence, and pure historical dillusion (somehow feeding the idea that if is made in EC is got to be better).

The same holds true for sports and politics... but I digress here.

Made in USA when done properly is just as good as anywhere - EC, Japan, Korea... you name it.

So lets suspend judgement until the unit comes out.

That's the BS i was talking about ... But you forgot to mention the fried Doves flying around all over here anywhere and the Streams of Milk and Honey which are floating in our Rivers....
On a Sidenote, who does make up the Exchange Rates ? You, Me ? Who ? Last Time I checked, it was the Market ...

Don't know what you're refering to ... Nobody (at least only me) here's thinking or saying EC's System is better than the US-System, but for whatever Reasons you believe the US-System is far superior, which is not the Case for most Issues. It's not the Question if one System is better or worse, they are just so much different. And you were spilling "Facts" here which are not true.

Absolutely right, I'm thinking about replacing my GMC Truck with a Dodge Nitro right now ...

So lets suspend judgement until the unit comes out.

Yes, I'm looking forward to this, i truely believe more Products are good just because of Choices are given to the Customers, especially in our VMAX Niche Market. But actually, i think you'll see not much of Difference in Prices compared to other top Notch Products, imported or not. V&H is not dumb, they take what they can, just as much as every other Seller.

He feels "compelled" Squeeze, so let him vent.. We've only been hearing about this for 8 or 9 months.

Its very premature but given the frustrations vented in our site I feel compelled to share information about upcoming exhaust system solutions for the new VMax.
I am part of two very promissing prototype exhaust design work under way: one from a very well known racing company and the other from a very experienced engineer.

These two separate groups (working on the same problem) are aware of the vmax exhaust system issues such as delivery time, cost, and design chalenges.

The 2 solutions once completed will address these difficulties. The units will be affordable, will demonstrate more performance, and will be available for immediate delivery. Since these two groups are working on prototypes there is still a chance that the projects end up shelved and the prototypes never make it into commercial scale manufacturing. I am expecting to report on the results sometimes in the next few weeks.

Best,
VP09

I agree with you, choices are good, but if you think Vance & Hines will be cheap. Guess again

There we go..... now the peanut gallery joins in.... sooooo predicatable. ::yawn::

Next we have a moderator sending me PM saying how non-sensical theses postings are... and if I dont behave I will be locked out of the forum again....blah blah blah.

How about we just keep this on the motorcycling realm... ok? I have provided information about products that nonone else outside this forum has... this is meaningful contribution for it helps our members to make better choices... the rest is just talk.
