Why there isn't RACE ECU available for european V-Maxs? Does anyone knows?

Race ECU will interfere with the Immobilizer most, if not all, european Models are equipped with.

I don't have a lot of knowledge about this electrical stuff, but I think the immobilizer is the main reason why the U.S. Race ECU doesn't work in european V-Maxs (except the one that spanish flyer changed a couple of wires to make it work).
But race ecu is basicly the same then the original ecu but only with different settings, right? I'm sure Yamaha could make a race ecu for european bikes, (different from the u.s. one) considering already the immobilizer. That's what I don't understand.
Why haven't they made one?

Racing means no Immobilizer necessary ...

The European Union is like Pelosi on steroids. It would never abide something as laissez faire as personal choice in such matters...

To me,it is quite ridiculous that the New Max is restricted ex works, considering that the Manufacturers of competition - B King etc - are quite content to give their products full rein.

To my mind there is one real reason that the bike is restricted from source - to create a market for the Race ECU.

Yamaha will know that most owners will want the full power version of the bike - after all, what is the Max most about but pure grunt!

Restricting the bike at source is just a cynical marketing ploy to extract more cash for what already is a very expensive machine from owners wishing to experience the bike's full performance potential.

Yamaha's 'high handed' approach to both the launch and pricing of the bike - "it will cost this and you will get it then"quickly changed to "it will cost more than this and you will get it sometime"

Very probably Yamaha Europe will come up with a Euro Race ECU when they are so inclined and need to boost their cash flow - in the full knowledge that their devoted long suffering customers will be standing patiently in line, wallets bulging with wads of cash, all too ready to their exorbitant asking price for the ECU

No wonder Yamaha is struggling
