Is this the mandatory "Oil thread" that every forum on the planet sees?

You should see the big dust-up about oil on the clay potters forum.

I'll go out on a limb and say if that's what you want ...go for it!

But I use any API SG or higher, JASO Standard MA type.

I will not spend more than is necessary for oil that meets the same requirements.

Refer to page 9-1 of the Owners Manual for specific requirements of the Engine oil.

No it's not the mandatory "Oil thread" that every forum on the planet sees?

I was trying to see if it is okay to put in the BEAST?

Maxxers,

Just a little study on various motorcycle lubricants.
If it's 100% unbiased, who knows.
But it's interesting reading.

(I tried to add file but didn't work)

Any MOTORCYCLE specific oil will be fine. Some non-motorcycle oils are also, but you must choose VERY carefully. This is because most modern bikes have wet clutches that may slip when using automobile oil. A Gen 2 VMax will DEFINITELY slip it's clutch with automobile oil that contains friction modifiers.

Advance Auto Parts has $20 off an order of $100 or more, plus free shipping on order over $75. Today is the last day. They've got Mobil 1 20W-50, Royal Purple 20W-50, Castrol Syntec Blend 20W-50 and a few other non-synthetics.
