TOPIC: Vance and Hines exhaust

I haven't been on the Star Vmax site in a while but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on the new Vance and Hines exhaust system for the 2009-10 Vmax. I went on their website and it shows the exhaust but no performance numbers or anything. The new exhaust looks pretty good especially for $1000.

Can't wait to see a bike on the dyno with it.
V&H has always made top quality exhausts for the Star line up. Their Propipe is still the one to beat for the Warrior. I expect this to make similar numbers as the Akrapovic. Even maps should be close. If anybody in the NorCal area is getting one, let me know - would love to see it on the dyno. |

V-Max Vance & Hines CS One
Arguably the most outrageous incarnation of raw unadulterated power, the Yamaha V-Max stands in a class all its own. Yet for those who will say too much is never enough, there is the CS One. Utilizing dual 2-into-1 merge collectors to feed the front and rear cylinder banks into dual side mounted CS One silencers enables the massive V-Four to produce its full aggressive potential, backed by an equally aggressive exhaust roar. Finished in high temperature black ceramic, the CS One’s edgy trapezoidal design truly looks the part on the ultimate muscle bike. - Includes lightweight Stainless Steel Race Collectors - Anodized CNC Mounting Brackets - Dual Black CS1 Slip-ons Fitment 74-104-15 - Yamaha V-Max. ($995.00) Back to product list Accessories No accessories are currently available. Replacement Parts Please refer to the installation guide below for a list of replacement parts. DOWNLOADS No downloads are currently available for this product. Took this off their web site, should be interesting to see how it looks on a Max and what it actually does! I've been happy with their products for years, running their "straight shots" on my old HD FXR. Bill |

That is a very attractive exhaust. I'm waiting for my Akrapovic cans to arrive, but this V&H is a real looker. Hmmmm, buyer's remorse?

Yeah, being that they launched their product so late (compared to others), keeping the price attractive is the key to early brisk sales. Good for competition too
