Nice summaries on the comparison between the two!
Itgoes's (Mark) Gen1 video really sounds good...gee I thought my Supertrapps were the I like the Gen 1 because it is "old school" and the Gen 2 doesn't capture the old school Hot Rod sound or feel! I like the Gen 2 because it "feels" so much safer all around and you can corner with it so much better than the Gen 1. Just have to be cafeful when riding the Gen 1 with handling and braking after being on the Gen 2 (big difference). Ken |

It is truely hard to compare. I've had a Gen 1 for 20 years, (1990) It has mods stage 7 jet kit supper trapps, constant Vboast...
To compare to me is like Gen 1 is a 1970 Hemi 'Cuda Gen to is the more modern 426 Hemi create motor More efficient in many way. More power and way easier to maintain. Those carbs are a little work and if you need part you better have $$$$ But just like old school vs new you lose some things when you upgrade. The sound and feel on the Gen 1 will never be matched. You got to play with it a little more, you could work on it. Just like modern cars the Gen II is beyond the average guy to work on or modify. But there is a lot to be said for both and if you like old muscle cars you will love a Gen I. If you like power and comfort, modern conveniences and all that go with it you will love Gen II But for a few of us we are so lucky to not have to make that choice unless it that choice of which one to ride today! |
