I have been receiving feedback that the site speed could use some improvements. Just wanted you all to know that I am aware of the situation and are actively working this.

Earlier tonight I found a big offender: The latest posts module on the home page.
Its another piece of SW I installed that is just not performing well and because of that is impacting the entire site.

For now I have disabled that module. On the homepage, where we had 3 columns (Site News, Popular and Latest Posts) there are currently only 2 left (Site News, Popular)

I will have to rewrite part of that module. Don't have an ETA when that will be done but I will keep you posted.

By turning off this 'sick' module, the site speed should have increased dramatically on most pages, definitely on the home page.

My apologies for any inconvenience this might have or is causing.
