I have the old Photoshop 7. That's an archaic version. How does the CS3 works for you. They're just too expensive for me to get it. But I still can work on the PS7.
DarthVmax, PS7 is still a good version. CS3 just has a few more bells and whistles. I will never master any of the PS versions, too complex, makes my brain over-heat. Stick with your PS7, you will be fine. I only upgraded to CS3 because my prior versions would not run well on my new Vista 64-bit machine. Mike |

Thanx fxstein, I have CS3 Extended, so hi-res is not a problem. Everything I do is hi-res, but I must degrade them in res & size to fix on this site. If you find one you like, I can send a hi-res copy. Here another image. People can be a critical as they want with comments. I can change anything on them too suit tastes. I don't mind getting criticism in order to make the image better. This image is a bit simpler than the others, except for backgrounds. Mike Here is what I would suggest: .) Drop the front view of the bike .) Drop the background - only leave the traced side view of the bike - rest should be transparent or white .) Use a color picker and select the blue we have in the menu bars - apply to the bike .) Apply high level of opacity to the bike - it should only be there in the background .) Maybe resize the bike to cover the entrie lettering - its ok it it needs to be cropped a little to make that work. .) Lets try writing starVmax in one font (like the one you used for the VMax portion .) Apply some bottom mirror to the lettering (similar to the current logo) |

Having ANY motorcycle picture adds too much complexity, plus it locks into either Gen 1 or Gen 2. I'd prefer a more universal logo that is inclusive of all Vmax past, current, and future models. Think of the logos with really great recognition and they are very simple (Ford, Chevy, IBM, Sony, GE, etc). 2. I like the idea of having Star/Yamaha part of the logo easily swapped out and the rest of the logo staying the same globally. My $.02 Mike |
