TOPIC: All 2009 to current Vmax recall
All 2009 to current Vmax recall 1 year 8 months ago #1
|
Just came across my dealers desk today. Yamaha hasn't released to the public. Has something to do with the oil pump having to much pressure. That is all he knew at this moment.

Well if this is the case I will be doing my own after the mess the dealer made of the loom which I had to replace when I got it home!! Having to much oil pressure wouldn't be as bad as low pressure. Have to wait and see I guess. |

My question would be what was the symptom that would be noticed when this issue comes into play? Have any failures occurred, or did they just happen to realize the pressure was beyond acceptable levels for optimum performance without any reported failures? In short, what are we in for?

I just called my dealer. They checked and said that they don't see any recalls out there.

Sounds like bullshit to me! There's a pressure relief valve in ALL oil pumps and IF there were a problem with too much oil pressure, the worst case scenario would be a bulging/leaking oil filter.. Some members have over 40k miles no issue..
Reported to mods.. |

Hey Dale. I'm calling you out. One post and it has to do with a recall? What's your story?
