IN BELGIUM FAST DRIVING....FORGET IT 3 years 11 months ago #1

Driving away from the police do in Belgium in any case not to try. The southern neighbor to drive Hermandad for its patrol on a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade ... fully police trim. The other engine is equipped with a camera in the cockpit, to make things to fix.

OMG!!

I guess I'll have to pay attention even more when I'm flying, uhm, riding my Max..

Or maybe look at it from the bright side; let's see if this CBR can follow my Max. :woohoo: My license plate is bend upwards, so that camera is of no use :P

Belgium used to be known as the speeding-country. Years ago you could really speed without any ticket-risk....
If people from abroad came at the Belgium border they hit the trottle almost automatically.
Belgium wants to get rid of this image,... and ever since that decission has been made, Belgium became completely the opposite of what it was once used to be...

We have the most speedcameras of all countries in Europe... Just to name one measurement they took....

Anyway,.. I'll still hit the trottle when I want to. The speeding tickets are within my calculation (I collected enough of them to decorate my living room if I wanted to) One more ticket isn't going to change anything...

This morning I got busted again,...

I was doing 136km/h (on display) on a 120km/h max road (motorway)
It will take +/- a week to get the ticket via mail. I'm curious what my actual speed was.
Let's look at the bright side: now I'll know how much my speedometer is off

This time, my bend license plate wont help. The speedcamera was up in a pole, so the picture is taken from above....

I'm sorry to hear. Did they take the Picture from Behind ??

In Germany, most of these are only picturing from front ...

Makes most sense as well, as a biker only has the license plate in the back...

Never understood the German approach. However, I'm happy for the German bikers though, this means their license plate is not on the picture ;)

And to be honest, I'm getting used to it. As the Belgium approach has changed in the last few years, I'm getting a speed ticket almost every month...

2 months ago, they busted me at 220km/h on the motorway (with my car) didn't receive the ticket yet, hope I won't get it at all... that kind of speeding will cost me a lot of money and I probably will be banned for a period of time...

220 in a 120 Zone (whole Belgium) ... you'd be walking 3 Months here at least, but our Fines are rather cheap, though. Even while they doubled it on the upper of the Scale in February.

Regarding the Picture from front ...

They hand write the License Plate an a List, But i never got caught aynway, neither did i hear about someone who was cuaght that way. But it works. But you gotta be careful. When busted a young Guy here which ran Wheelies through the same Trap again and again. Until they could get an Angle on the Back side of the License Plate which was uncovered, just the bar Plate.... but they had a Lead. Dumb Ass got caught by this, bragging on the Internet about it and some specific Stickers he had on the Fairing of his Bike. He was 19 Years old and under limited Power, of Course, the Bike wasn't restricted as it should been ...

I think he will walk for 3 Years or so.....
