I still dont understand why this cant be made from plastic or some sort of rubberized bladder for half the money. I love the idea of a bigger tank but for that kind of money I'd rather buy another assault rifle or a television, or another motorcycle. The tooling is too expensive for the amount you will sell! This has been exactly the problem! We tried it and negotiated with 2 companies which are able to build the tools. With 6mm wall thickness 17,7 Liters of volume is the maximum. Thanks |

From my point of view it´s a question of comfort. Do I feel comfortable or not when I´m riding the VMAX. This is the feed back I got from a lot of "big tank owners". In stock conditions the fuel range might be acceptable. But if you do some tuning the fuel range goes down to 65 - 80km until the yellow light comes. The is not very comfortable. I think the question is what are you doing with the bike! If you make 2000km the year, the tank is not the first choice of investment. But some friends of mine (and also I) make 8000 to 20000km a year. In cases like these the owners feel very comfortable! Thanks |

Good morning! Today there are two versions available: 21 Liters volume 24 Liters volume We work hard on a 30 Liters version and expect that this one will be available by end of this year. There are already more than 100 tanks on the road. Florian Florian: Keep us posted on the 30 ltr. (6.6 gallon) version. If I was to spend my hard earned cash, I would purchase the 30 ltr. tank assembly.... Thank you, Randi |

Hi Florian
21liters? 24liters? Now it is only the 22liter tank and the additional tank with 4 liters Or I am not at the right company? Is it not possible to bilt a additional tank with 3-5liters to fix bitween the tank and the rearweel? For me is the problem: when I drive not in Switerzland I cant find very often a gasstation. In Franc the Creditcard does not works on eache gasstation. In Itali on sondays , gasstations are closed. the range with my 15liter tank is at maximum 200km. After 150Km is very very impoten to look where is the next open gasstation. I dont will push my bike. I will ride my bike So when I can pompe (hand or electricel) from an additional tank ( 3-5liters) to the original tank, I dont have to walk.. why my bike drink only 7.4liter of 100km? I dont give fuulpower after eache corner. the set gas/air is modification Andreas |

Andreas , I made a 1.2 gal gas tank to mount in a tail bag to the yamaha luggage rack and it flows fuel into the overflow inlet on the factory tank , I am in the process of making a 1.5 gallon tank just by itself rack mounted similar to Schfitys setup if this interests you
let me know and if you are allowed by lay to have an extra tank on your bike in your Country. Capt Bob Looks like the one posted about is not available at this time. |

Hi!
I have 21 and 24 liters tanks in stock. The advantage is, that you have no change in functions or optics. Means you have still the pillion seat available. You only have to remove the stock tank and install the new one. There´s one tank available on the market in Germany which replaces the pillion seat. Unfortunately you have to cut the rear fender so another change in funtions! Of course our tanks are street legal in Germany. Unfortunately there are a lot of rules to fulfill to get mods like this legal on the road. If you would install anything "non tested" by the authorities you may get a high fine. Never install mods like this without certificate! I heard about a company which makes some advertising for a 22 liters tank. This might be an alternative. The work on the 30liters wears on !! I really don't understand this....
If there is room in there to fit a 30 litre tank why would Yamaha, just put in a 15 litre tank? That was one of the things that we asked for when they were doing research for the Gen2. A bigger tank... |
