TOPIC: V-Boost cross tube diameter

It's been awhile. I cannot remember because I no longer have my '89. Can someone measure the inside diameter of the boost tube at the opening and at the butterfly? Does it taper? I think it does. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think its straight through!
The V-boost eliminator tube from dyno jet has a slightly larger bore and can be purchased separately. I always wondered if narrowing the tube down in the center a little would increase the flow volume. |

Sure, a Venturi Shape accelerates the Mixture Flow in any Case and by this, also increases Flow. The Inside Diameter on the Butterfly Valves is 30mm for the early('85 and '86) and 32mm for the other Years. Not explicit Knowledge about inside Diameter at the Mounts or outside mounting Diameter here in my Mind, but it's definitely wider on the outside . |

I agree. Im pretty sure the ID is tapered. I really would like the ID measurement at the opening and ID at the butterfly. This will give me a ratio for a taper. I used to have tons of these parts laying around. I could kick myself in the ass for selling them all.
Thanks! |

Sorry, it just cam to my Mind. I have one Manifold laying on the Bench in my Shop. This iD is the same as on the Butterfly Valves Assembly. I'll measure it Monday Morning and post it.
In the meanwhile, calculate with an iD at 35 mm. |
