Hi there. I'm looking to replace my factory rear shocks on my '89 Max for new ones. The prices of some sets are pretty crazy and I'm a bit weary of the cheap sets. Anyone got any experience with any after-market sets that would both fit an '89 VMax and will handle well - at a reasonable price. Thanks, Tony C from New Zealand.

Hope this helps!

I have Koni 7610 1429 on my '89. Dealer put them on back in '90 when we tried to take the wobble out. They lower the rear by about an inch on the softest setting. Been on for 30K miles and still work. Don't know if they're still available. No adjustment except for spring load.

I used Works Performance Piggybacks and I thought they handled nicely. They were a bit pricey but Works sells others.
