lamcorb wrote Hi there. I'm looking to replace my factory rear shocks on my '89 Max for new ones. The prices of some sets are pretty crazy and I'm a bit weary of the cheap sets. Anyone got any experience with any after-market sets that would both fit an '89 VMax and will handle well - at a reasonable price. Thanks, Tony C from New Zealand. I have Koni 7610 1429 on my '89. Dealer put them on back in '90 when we tried to take the wobble out. They lower the rear by about an inch on the softest setting. Been on for 30K miles and still work. Don't know if they're still available. No adjustment except for spring load.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “up to and including my life.” That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand.

I used Works Performance Piggybacks and I thought they handled nicely. They were a bit pricey but Works sells others.
