TOPIC: Boulevard Windscreen Instructions?

Does anyone have the instuctions or a parts list for the boulevard windscreen? If so, I would really appreciate it if you could post them here. I googled the entire internet and searched this site, but couldn't come up with anything online.
I'm out of town at the moment and just need to help the better half confirm that I received all the hardware in the kit. I also read the thread on the brackets possibly being reversed. I'll look for that before I install the windshield (Thanks to Art - CVVMAX). Thanks, Mike |

Thanks, Mike Mike, I just scanned the 2 pages from the original...not the best quality but you can still read it...hope that helps... Art |

Mike Mike, Make sure your "better half" or yourself...verify those brackets...you'll know right away because the two lower brackets where the bolts go through the holes will not be perpendicular with the one upper bracket where the bolt goes through the hole on that one... I sent an email to Yamaha in Cypress knowing that it won't do crap...and they will not respond...but I don't care...I know what's wrong, corrected it, posted here for all you other folks and so Yamaha is not even a part of the fix... Been dealing with these people for a long time....1966...and nothing changes...it's not this bad with Yamaha, Japan... Art |

Art,
I think I'll have her e-mail photos of everything if she can, and I can compare them to the instruction sheets and your photos in the other thread. If not, I'll give her the link to the threads so she can look at them herself. Hopefully, she won't find my other threads with discussions of other things I NEED to buy for the V-Max! I should be good to go with all the info you've posted on the forum. Thanks again, Mike |

Thanks again, Mike Mike, Sounds like a plan...one thing you forgot to do though...to log on under a different Avatar...now "she" knows that you're out to get some more V-Max Goodies...lmao... Art |

the boys at yamaha Australia get there windscreens from the U.S.A not japan as I suspected as Japan is much closer than the U.S. they must make them there someone sugested it is outsourced to Mexico so some one take em a vmax and let em have a look at how they fit and maybe they can fix the DANGEROUS light reflection at night it lites up like a bloody disco

I don't think they are made in Mexico as that would be in violation of NAFTA and USA Trade Regulations...they must be made in the USA... Having said that...they could be made anywhere...I worked at a manufacturer one time that had some equipment made in another country, imported them and put ONE part on it to make it a locally made unit...so, anything is possible, if you know how to get around the law... In any case, whoever makes them, needs to pull aside their QA folks, if there is such a thing and point out this possible problem...could be a one unit fluke... |
