TOPIC: Thank you Tim Nash
Thank you Tim Nash 1 year 3 months ago #1

For the past couple of months I've been actively seeking a way to import an exhaust system and some other stuff into Australia.
I was hitting dead ends all over the place and wasn't making any traction. Those of us who are International Vmax riders to the US know this feeling well I am sure. Locally overpriced products pushing us to look overseas, large shipping fees, import duties and taxes, the list goes on and on. I approached Tim and asked him to work with me to help me overcome something where all others would shy away. I mean why bother with a few sales overseas when it’s much easier to deal with local crowd, right? While Tim faced similar challenges, and where most saw a dead end, he invested more energy and time to turn a dead end into a 5 lane highway. - I received my exhaust in less than 6 business days from US to Australia - The cost of shipping for something quite heavy and large half away around the globe was more than reasonable - I didn't have to pay any taxes or import duties - it was all legit So thank you Tim for: - not shying away where most have - taking the time to "carefully" repackage the product to save me on shipping charges - running back and forth between your office and post office - taking phone calls while fitting out your nursery - thinking ways around the problem so I am not hit with extravagant import taxes Cheers, Kris |

Details? What exactly did Tim do? What's the situation?
I can apreciate this because here in Portugal it's the same thing. Just this week I had a lot of trouble with customs. Had to drive 800 kms and pay $160.00 to customs to get my aux. tank, which Capt. Bob made for me and was confiscated by customs. Big thank you to Capt. Bob and Lee for helping me out with forms and paper work for me to retreive my tank. |

Tim, you're the man!! Kris, your bike looks great. And we (vmaxbeast & I) know the feeling. In the Netherlands prices for accessories are outrageous compared to US prices. And if ordered via US, one has to deal with huge taxes and import duties as well.
We owe -Lee- an enormous 'thank you' for his help. And that goes as well for itgoes & many others here on the board that helped us out! (I'm saving now for a reflash...oh, and a trip to Italy if the shoulder will have a go; oh, and a trip to New York with the kids. But we'll manage, haha!) |

He runs a business by building trust based relationships and its something that is rare now days in my experience This is why he has and will go far in life as people appreciate that more than the product sometimes He could have saved himself time (and time is money in my world). But I know he did it to help a fellow Vmaxer out The details don't matter, but its fair to say that without Tim I would not have my exhaust as I would have given up by now and gone a different route Babe: I have also had help from members here. We are a good bunch of people and I hope we never change Okay I'll stop feeling sentimental now |

Great to see you got what you wanted, with the generous help that Tim gave you. Too many companies overpromise and underdeliver and clearly Tim is in the overdeliver crowd.
Can't wait to hear it in the flesh on Sunday!! |

It's great to hear about situations like this. It's what makes this not just a forum but a community. I have been helped out on several occasions by guys from accross the pond and about a year or so ago I had the opportunity to reciprocate. One of the members here wanted something that was only available in Europe so I jumped at the chance to help.
Let's keep doing what we're doing guys |
