TOPIC: 5/22 Ride to Long Island?

Re: 5/22 Ride to Long Island? 1 year 11 months ago #21

Randy good news we saved the light house for the return trip :map: was a good day despite the ugly conditions leaving in the morning found mysely leaving in a light misty crappy drizzle trying to figure out what I was doing :rolleyes2: Knowing the ferry is not goiing to wait and of course running a bit late had to make up some time on the dryness of the hightway made the 7:30 with 4 min or less to spare and no fuel

Bob was second to arrive and Chuck,Bill,Neil were there when they arrive followed by their break to down the LARGE coffeee and tea (ya know what goes in must come out)

Bob had his route to the north shore tip. I got to say I never knew LI had farms and vineyards all to them self they also have alot of traffic but weather definatley kept that to a minamum, Ate some really good seafood then took a diferent trip back to another biker friendly stop again poor weather was like a ghost town.

I am checking to see what the gopro came up with and splice something together had some 4 way drags and two way in front see what came out.

Had a good time Ty

Mar got to ride, Mel saw her mom, success all around.
Lobster rolls and chowder were definitely yummy as was the green bottled adult beverages
Note to self - don't forget cigars - very smoke friendly crowd :)
A short clip from Claudios serves as proof of about a 1000 horsepower in a form of 5 vmaxes - all so different yet the same!

Had a great day all in all. Great lobster mac and cheese for lunch and an excellent cigar for dessert :cigar: (thanks Bob)! Was quite the miles put on and I turned 16,000 of them when I pulled back into my driveway. Than I took a three hour nap :rolleyes2: Looking foward to the next outing (I'll make a run downtown Bob to the "Cuban" store) maybe we could get six or more Maxes rolling. Oh yeah and fuel isn't cheap anywhere along the way spent about sixty+bucks on gas for a motorcycle ride :money:
