Not much activity on Michaels' post over there. But that's typical for past years as well. Most of the guys that plan on going, just don't bother to post up ahead of time.

Talking about representing, weren't there at least a dozen Gen II's in Eureka last yr? If memory serves me, and it don't more and more each passing year, I recall around 18 Gen 1's and 12 Gen II's at the 2011 rally. But not all of them went on the Sat ride. Seems a bunch of the KS riders wive's and/or GF's may have had them hog-tied into shopping the town all day instead......er...uh...sumpton like that.

Hopefully, 2012 will be as good a turnout, or even better....for both models. (got at least one new Gen II rider from MO I know of)

That would be the first real corner after leaving the intersection of hwy 7 & AR123 - heading north towards Mt. Judea. Can't really see the severity of the corner looking on google maps though. Seems like we pull over just about at that intersection to let the stragglers catch up before continuing. You can bet your sweet bippy I'll remember to mention it this year. I'll bet Michael will remember to say something too. No fun in spending a couple hours picking peeps outta the ditch, and/or arranging for trailers. The group lost a Gen 1 to that corner also, back during the 2009 ride. Have yet to hear back from that rider - guess he hung up riding altogether after buggering his knee that day. Sure glad to see last years' riders are both back at it again, whether on a repaired same m/c, or diff bike. I'm not sure about the young man who busted his Honda 650 there last year, but someone said they thought it to be repaired and back in service also.

I think the biggest thing about that corner is that we spend half the morning riding sweepers, then hit that first technical corner - and it being a decreasing radius, just catches people off guard, and unsuspecting.

I Really liked that turn.Didn't like watch what was going on in front of me tho.. I remember it..Blind down hill whth a sharp left turn... YOu gotta have a hand full of bike to take it and don't let up..

Well, fortunately, everyone was fixable afterwards, and with no permanent damages to themselves.

I think the guy on the HD that crashed a mile later, is back on a new HD as well. Perhaps he'll make the trip up again this year as well.
