They can not even sell the target amount, the economy is in a deep recession, and will slip to Depression, BUT RAISE PRICES:laugh:

The bike is not worth what they are now asking.

They're adjusting for inflation.

The US government printed some $2,000,000,000 dollars a while back, about 6 months or so ago.

The prices of food and other things are all on the rise due to inflation.

Do they ever go down? I'm really asking, not trying to be an ass. I thought inflation took care of the concept of apples to apples bikes, year to year?

A bike or any merchandise is worth what the seller and buyer agreed to.

A guy who paid 20K for a bike is what he deemed the worth of it at the time he struck the deal.

And a person who paid 17K for the same bike probably didn't think the bike was worth 20K.

Personally, I think at this TIME the bike is worth 15K OTD. Now if I can find a dealer that AGREES with me then that is what the bike is worth....THIS WEEK!

Yeah, it should have.

But he was in Australia.

Inflation usually affect necessities such as food and gasoline, these items are sold because people can't do without them.

Luxury items on the other hand is a want and not a need or necessity. So luxury items can't be an easy call to inflate the price as much as nececssity merchandise.
But if inflation continues to rise then luxury items are dragged along with the rest.
