You know, it's fairly easy to drop the Vmax at least 1 inch, and with a dif seat setup, another 2 inches is possible. Seems a shame to sell it now, especially in uncertain times. Who knows? We may have the only Monster Max's built, now & forever.

Hello Bad_Max,
I Appreciate Your Thoughts, Sympathy & Suggestions & Yes I Am Aware That The Front Can Be Lowered About 1" By Raising The Fork Tubes In The Clamps & That They May Come Out With A New After Market Replacement Rear Suspension Relay Arm (Eventually) That Could Lower The Back From 1 1/2" To 2" But Even Then I Do Not Think It Will Be Low Enough. One Of The Main Problems Is That It Is So Wide In The Saddle, Which Spreads Your Legs Apart Like On A Horse & With Only A 27" Inseam & Large Thighs I Am At Least 2" From Tip Toeing When The Bike Is Up Straight! Yamaha Really Did Not Think Much About The Height On This Bike. I Have Had Several 1st Gen V-Maxs Starting With My First In 1985 When I Was The Service Manager Of A Yamaha Dealer In Spokane, WA. And Even Though I Had A Hard Time Reaching The Ground On The 1st Gen V-Max I Could Still Tiptoe Well Enough To Ride It With Confidence. I Rather Lose A Few Dollars Selling It Now Then To Lay It On It's Side Ever Time I Try To Ride It Or Worse Yet Have To Just Look At It Sitting In My Garage Until Some After Market Company Comes Out With A Lowering Kit, Which Could Be Quit A While! If & When They Do Come Out With A Lowering Kit I Can Always Buy Another One, If It Lowers It Enough For Me To Ride. Sincerely, Cybrman |

Just changing the rear tire, dropped the rear end 7/8" for me, add to that a lowering kit, and dif seat, drop the fork tubes, and I think you're there.. Soften the suspension abit too

Hello wadejesu,
I appreciate you referring your friend. If he is really interested in a new VMax then he should contact me to set up an appointment to take a look, it does not cost anything to come look but tell him to beware because once he sees it he will not be able to sleep until he buys it. Thanks, Cybrman |

Hello wadejesu,
I Showed The VMax To Your Friend Paul Today, He Was Impressed Even Though He Rides A Harley, Nice Guy Otherwise! He Cleared Up The Fact That He Was Checking It Out For You, I Thought That He Was The One Interested. He Took A Few Pictures & I Am Sure He Will Forward Them To You If Not Already. Thanks, Cybrman |
