TOPIC: Suction mount for accessories (radar, phone, etc.)

Suction mount for accessories (radar, phone, etc.) 2 years, 11 months ago #1

Going thru my stuff after closing my store & found these Sirius Satellite radio suction mounts, and thought they may be useful to some members for mounting accessories. These have a shoe style mount and swivel ball socket at the top. If anyone would like to try one, pm me & I'll send these out for $9.95 free ship or add $3 for priority mail. I have plenty & if no interest will list on ebay. Thanks

These stick to the air cover top (faux tank) & are pretty strong, just flip the lever to lock & unlock.

Last summer I decided to give my GPS a whirl on my 2000 max. I have a suction cup similar to the one you picture. The only problem I had with it was while I was riding I could not help myself from constantly looking down at the GPS and mount wondering if or when it would bounce off while riding over "typical" road bumps. I know the suction holds well, maybe it's just me, but most of my focus was on that damn mount:( instead of the road. I then pulled over, said to myself this is B.S. , took it off, and said "I need a mechanical mount". I'm sure you'll have no problem selling these mounts but personally I'd prefer it mounted inside a car and not on a bike.

If you're worried about it, fishing line attached to handle bars would stop fall off worry.

They do hold on well tho
