I found a new parking spot at work out of the way of all Yukons with braindead bimbos behind the wheel!

Such an easy mod took five minutes. I was nervous about doing it at first because I have never done it before but I have a great coach. Thanks Chuck! Sent you a PM MAX

to undo the left Grip, it's very easy if you use a Airgun and blow compressed Air between Grip and Handlebar while you're lifting the Grip a BIt with the Tip of a Screwdriver. Make wour Way aorund the Grip to loosen it up, stick the Nozzle completely under the Grip and garb the Grip and turn/pull it off. Two Minutes max.

That makes sense. I will defenetly try this.
What about putting the new ones on. Do you glue them back on? If so what sort of adhesive is it best to use? I am assuming the throttle is held in place by the cables handlebar clamp? What are the grips made out of? Can't tell in the photos. |

Don't know about a Brand Name in the States. I use whatever my Honey uses for her Hair.
Doesn't your Girls in OZ use Hair Spray ? |

I just put some silicone on the handle bar and slide the grip on...
Notice I said I "just" did it! Last week when I put the grips on, I wanted to make sure the bar end mirrors fit before I "glued" the grip on... It fit, but then I was tired and thought, I will glue it tomorrow... Then something else happened... who knows what, and I forgot all about it. Yesterday, I am riding... and the set screw for the grip came loose... I can tell you, having two grips that rotate on a motorcycle is not better than one! It scared the crap out of me. So anyway, don't forget to glue the grips if you install them!! |
