I did 275 miles today (fathers day ride w/ my old man) and I have neither on my seat. I got home about 5 hours ago and my ass is still killin me. Good thing I needed to stop for gas 3 times....This is the most uncomfortable seat I have ever had on a bike. I am going to look into the Air Hawk. The pain is still worth the oooohing and awwwwing over my Gen. 2 though.

UPDATE: June 26th in the year 2010

Still trying to get the right setting on the Air Hawk cushion. I even tried my gel pad and A-hawk together, and it seemed to help some. Went 250 miles today and felt pretty good. Uncomfortable at times but with a quick station break, got back on and felt better. I think that anything after a while will cause some discomfort. A buddy of mine has a 09 Goldwing and he'll start hurting eventually. May be 400 plus miles, but he will get his. :P

I feel your Pain there Moses. Thats why I have spent nearly 400 bones on trying to come up with a solution. I think that what I have now is going to have to be it. I have memory foam and gel "in" the factory seat. I have another external gel pad and then the Air Hawk on top of that. Sits me up higher in the seat but not too bad. Theres nothing worse then being uncomfortable when riding. Weather its riding position, riding discomfort, too cold, too hot out. Whatever.
