Here is a tool that is pretty much a must have if you want to take off the rear wheel for tire changes or other service tasks.
The wheel bolt requires a 24mm hex key to open and close. If you have ever tried to find one of those, you will know that they are hard to get by. There is a very simple solution that covers 17,19,22 and 24mm hex keys - Everything you need on a metric bike. Here are a few on eBay: |

I just went to the hardware store and bought the right size hex head bolt for each one, and used a pipe wrench on the threaded part of the bolt, inserting the hex into the axles. Crude but effective, cost around $5 for both sizes.

That's because all mechanical Parts have Tolerances. In Case of a standard Bolt, the Hex must be exactly the right Size or slightly smaller, in Case of Allen Head, the Size has to be exactly or slightly bigger. So, the Mesh of a Bolt inserted in an Allen Head will have the Amount of both Tolerances added and ruin your the Hex Drive Part of the Axles when used more often. Besides, i think there has to be a proper Tool, even when it's not Snap-On Quality, in the Tool Roll of the Bike? |

I haven't even opened mine yet, but looks to me like the bottom tool is it.

I believe the Plug Wrench will fit both Axles as an Allen Head Tool. They make sure you can undo a Tire with the Toolkit. |
