So to only do 1 4th gear and 1 5th gear dyno pull on a warmed up bike might produce what, a 4 or 5 HP lower number?? This guy wanted $30 per pull and said when on the street you dont get to warm up and Heat Sink before you run another bike. That the best way to compare street bikes is to do a good warm up and maybe one 4th and one 5th gear pull. Then compare numbers. not who gets the best heat sink .

This guy is ripping you off.

It is common practice for good dyno shops to do a max horse power run. As many runs as it takes to create peak power. On a fully warmed up bike that can be as little as 3 runs, a not so warmed up bike might take 6-10 pulls.

As for the street: I never run my bike cold against somebody else. 10 min of riding is my min warm up. In addition rolling through multiple gears at full power is like multiple runs, more load on the engine and a longer constant run than on most dynos.

A single run is convenient for the dyno shop. Less work for good money.

We charge 50 bucks for as many runs as it takes to get to peak power.

+1 Oliver

More riders need to warm up their bikes every time they ride not only for peak hp and torque numbers but also to properly care for their bike's long term health.
imho

Warming up is so important for all things. Hell I'm 38 and the wife is 25 and if I don't stretch out before I go into that bedroom something is gonna break for sure!!! :rotflmao:
