Finally got to take the Akrapovic pipes through the ringer.

Monster Big Air + Akrapovic + PCV on pump gas 200(STD)/196(SAE).

First combination that hit 200 rwhps (STD) on pump gas. That's propably 210 rwhps (STD) on MR9.

Highlight: Much improved midrange at 5500 rpm over x-type pipes, 1 rwhps more up on top.

Little warm here today (~86F) so the results might be even better on a cooler day, when the x-type pipe and my own Monster setup made their best runs.

I will have charts and more up soon.

You're killin' me, fx. Those, so far, are the pipes I'd consider trashing the stock hardware for...

Why couldn't you tell me they suck? My wallet would appreciate it.

For 1 HP difference, I'd stay with Mike's Xpipe at less than 1/2 the cost and retain all stock mounts, heat shields, mufflers & original look.
FYI, adding the Scorpions to Mike's Xpipe got me that same boost at 5600RPM

All valid points. Mike's pipe is simply an awesome design!

Just reporting the facts that I see on the dyno. Its all about options.

BTW I suspect that the Akro midpipe with Stock mufflers will perform similar if not identical - or for that matter with Scorpions.

The charts will show more details about the difference.

Well that makes me fill better about purchaseing the akro mid pipe and the scorpion muflers.

I have a simular setup, 216 RWHP on the Dyno-Jet Dyno.

@ 700-800 for a midpipe is not a bad price considering it is titanium.
